I was driving through Birmingham on Wednesday night about 21:10 so was fully dark. I was coming to a junction and the light was green. No other cars around me. The lights changed but I went through as I was still doing 40mph.

I am sure my front went over on Amber but they did change to red before I went fully past. If I get anything I will hold my hands up and take what they give me.

Here is a link to the camera.

Anyway I remember looking in my mirror and seeing the camera but I never saw a flash.

How obvious would it be to see a flash at that time of night?

Cheers

very.

If I was a betting man I might put 10p on that being an empty box - if you zoom up on it you can't see the flash reflector and the camera window also looks empty;

If you're driving past there again, have a closer look at it, see if it has a flash and look in the camera window as you can usually see the lens.

Have you got a link showing one with lens. Just to compare?

There's 3 seconds of Amber - plenty of time to stop or pass during Amber if there isn't time to stop.

They arm until shortly after red is illuminated and you would have noticed the double flash.

That's a Google photo and wasn't taken on the night.

I never said it was - I commented on what I can see in the google photo and suggested the OP revisit the scene to see if this is still the case wink.gif
