Looking for some insight.

I rushed my Girlfriend to hospital and parked by my own house on a corner by shops. There was no yellow lines, no signs present and I was the only car there at the time (9am).

There was no house or driveway I was blocking.

As this was a 2009 photo, there isnt grass anymore, and no lamp posts nearby. I'm assuming they were taken down. I was parked on the kerb in front of that red cars space, so I wasnt blocking any paths. With it being 9am, there was no car in sight.

Offence Code: RR84097 (I think they are "R"s)
Message: Allow a vehicle to wait on a road when wasting was prohibited.

As I was the only car, there was plenty of room. When I got back there was cars on both sides of the road.

Merseyside Police Fixed Penalty Notice.

Do I have a right to appeal and win or will I lose and should just pay. (£30)

Gan
You admit you were parked on the kerb

If you reject the FPN it will be prosecuted in the magistrates court and cost you considerably more than £30

Liudom
Yeah I admit I was, I guess I have no leg room to fight?

Kind of a cheap ticket, considering everyone does it in that street, and that I lived there for over a year and did the exact same parking.
Gan
If it was a council ticket you could appeal on the grounds of reasonable expectation

As a police FPN you have next to no chance
Liudom
Thanks Gan +rep

Going online now to pay.

There are two large signs at the entrance to Gilbert Road "No Vehicles 7am-7pm except for...." (cannot read the rest). Not sure how relevant it is to how you were parked.

I think this should be in the criminal forum http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=5

Thank you for a reply.
Those signs have been removed, they are no longer there.

I have taken Gans advise and have paid the ticket.
