Full Version: Brighton PCN at NTO stage

This is from a friend.

They parked on a single yellow line on a bank holiday Monday (arrived night before on the Sunday), didn't realise it applied, they don't recall any signs.

They claim they didn't get a ticket on the car but plenty of pictures from council of it in place. They now have NTO so I've advised them to appeal all the way as they've nothing to lose.

The signage is very dodgy IMO. Here's the councils evidence:

There is not one image of the car and sign in the same photo.

As you can see from my pics taken today (my car in blue, approximately where my friend's was parked), the sign is hidden behind a wall. It's impossible to see from where the car was parked.

There is another sign further down, although this is not shown on any of the council's photos

I've already checked the TRO and all is in place and accurate.

NTO below

Just looking for a) any other possible get outs and b) is there a way for me to take over the appeal and tribunal case in place of the owner?

Owner can delegate appeals, needs a signed authorisation from them for you to do so.

Sign is a little iffy on placing however, single yellow says there is a restriction, up to the driver to look or decide to risk it if a pole sign isn't readily evident.
Worth taking all the way though as nothing to lose.

Show all NTO please.

Not sure if it would work in this case due to the sign.
