Hi! great forum by the way.

I recently got a Congestion charging notice while driving in London. I was there just to drop off a friend to work as the London underground staffs were on strike. The whole travel should have only took me 40-45 minutes, but I am guessing other people had the same idea of driving to work that day, and it took me 1 and half hours to get back home. The notice they have sent me is at 07:02. The congestion starts from 0700.

I am aware getting lost is not an excuse, but I did miss a couple of turns on the way back and lost some time there as I don't usually drive through central. I just thought it was a bit unfair getting a fine while trying to be a good Samaritan, and it was while I was trying to get out of there. Is there anyway I could appeal this?

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
