Hi all,

I need some information about the date information is 'laid' in relation to court summons for driving offences. I have a family member who has a summons and there are various dates on it. I know information has to be laid in 6 months from day after the offence but which date on the summons is relegate. Date of offence is 1.6.13. The is a date which say date of information which is 26.11.13. The summons itself is date 10.12.13 and it is stamped on the back, signed and dated for service by post on 21.1.14? Any help is very much appreciated.

Suppose to be relevant not relegate

Date of information is the key one - within the 6 months.

I presume this is England?

Sounds like a valid summons, the latest "date of information" would have been 1.12.13, since it is 26.11.13 they raised it with a few days to spare.

That's just typical. Was worth looking into. Thanks.
