Dear all
My son received a private parking ticket from Parking Eye last year whilst he was a provisional driver (taking his theory test when the ticket was issued) and ignored the 2/3 letters sent after reading a few posts recommending to ignore it as nothing will happen and it's illegal to issue private parking tickets!?!?
He has today received a genuine County Court Claim from Northampton (CCBC)
We have been researching all evening and it seems very involved but if you do your homework it's possible to win.
My worry is my son is not very confident and becomes easily flustered. He's not sure he can remember all the right things to say. He's at the point of giving up and paying. I hate to see him do this and let Parking Eye get rich, he's on an apprenticeship wage and works really hard.
Can we represent him or does it have to be him? If he does decide to pay will they accept an offer?
Hope someone can give some advice
