Full Version: Both parts of driving license?

Hello

Got caught by a handheld doing 43 in a 30. Can't really complain, so will take the points and fine.

Trouble is the form says I need to send both parts of my license - but I can't find the paper bit anywhere.

Do I really need to send both bits? Will I need to apply for a duplicate first, before I send it off? If so any idea how long that will take?

Thanks a lot

You'll need both bits, yes, neither on it's own constitutes a licence, apply to DVLA ASAP, meanwhile tell the Police your issue, they'll usually grant you more time.

Thank you for the prompt response

The quickest way to do it is online.

You can't use the service if there are any other changes which need to be done, like photograph or address though.

Yep, as above, both parts constitute the licence, and since the points are written on the paper counterpart, it is essential!
