Full Version: PCN addressed to a Mr and not Ms
FightBack Forums > Queries > Council Tickets & Clamping and Decriminalised Notices
Hi there

I have recieved a PCN addressed to a Mr and not Ms. It it valid? also the time they state the offence occurred is after the time shown on the pics taken from CCTV. Please help

Post up pics of the document, please, so we can look and give an opinion. However, I suspect the Mr vs Ms argument is irrelevant, but the offence times may be crucial. From what you say, this is an offence detected by CCTV where there are a whole barrelfull of potential objections to a PCN's validity. Councils love CCTV enforcement as it's so cheap to use it for issuing shedloads of PCNs, so they do this regardless of the legal mandates they are liable to obey.

It generally doesn't make any difference at all.
It may just mean the DVLA have incorrectly entered 'Mr' on the keepers details.
As well as posting the PCN also check the cars V5C document (log book). If that is correct I.e it has Ms xxx then I think this PCN could well be got out of.
