I have found this thread very interesting and informative as I have received an NIP for doing 41mph through same camera on 6th January. No roadworks in sight!! I remember checking speed as I went through camera ~ my speedometer must be a bit out! Hadn't been along that road for sometime always been a 40 - looks like a dual carriageway! I googled the area for street view and was amazed when this link appeared!I was questioning myself as to 30 signs but having read the threads will have to accept that there were 2 very small 30 signs. Feeling slightly agrieved but doubt there is a real case to contest?!

"Dual carriageway" is a type of road characterised by at least one lane heading in each direction, separated by a central reservation. It does not specify a speed limit, there is a 30mph dual carriageway near where I live.
