Hi,

a friend of mine recently received an PCN through the post for allegedly stopping in a box junction. I have attached the front of the PCN.

Can anyone confirm if the wording is incorrect with regards to the payment period? It does not say "14 days when the notice is served"

Thanks

SchoolRunMum
I think the timings are correct to say 'from the date of the notice' under those regs 2003 (see top of the PCN).

Please post a pic of the rest of the PCN pages, even if they seem to contain irrelevant small print.

Your friend needs to go and view the video to see if the contravention occurred, because it's NOT the fact that he/she stopped in a box junction. He needs to look at the video at the point that he entered the junction, was the way clear then, and did he stop 'due to the presence of stationary vehicles'?

Tell your friend to Google 'Logic Law Steve' and 'Money Box Junction' to read about it before seeing the video.

Here is the back of the PCN:-

An here is a google map image of the box junction:-

He maintains he was only in the box for 4 seconds. He says the lorry stopped ahead of the box, while he was already in it. He then manouvered to the left of the lorry to clear the box junction.

If this is it just look at the corners. ohmy.gif
