Dear All

I am looking for some advice for a PCN that I received at the Savile Row and Conduit Street junction.

Instead of turning left, I proceeded straight ahead the junction onto Mill street.

It seems that this is a hotspot for PCNs. The http://notomob.co.uk/ team have produced a video on Youtube link and the signs have also recently changed. As it can be seen by comparing the Westminster CCTV evidence to previous photos of the junction the one way sign post has now been removed

Could you please let me know if I have any grounds for challenging the validity of the PCN?

Thanks

Can you show us pictures of all pages of the PCN, all the small print but just blank out your address, car reg and PCN number.

Was the blue arrow there when you were caught by the camera?

Hi

Thanks for the reply. The only photo included in the PCN is the one that I have attached on the PDF.

The Blue Arrow was there but it was only visible from about 20mtrs before the junction. I believe that the current law states that these sign should be visible from at least 50m.

1.15 It is essential that drivers have an unobstructed
view of traffic signs. The distance which should be
kept clear of obstructions to the sight line, whether
caused by vegetation, other signs or street furniture,
is known as the clear visibility distance. The higher
the prevailing traffic speeds, the greater this distance
needs to be.

Do you think that I have any chances of succeding by challenging the validity of the PCN ?

Any tips or sample letters would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The possibility that they have fitted the wrong sized 609 turn left ahead sign is negligible ....
but here is the dimensioned working drawing, just in case.

Same question from me
I never saw a must go left turn sign or noticed the road marking. Its a busy junction with moving and parked cars, and shop awnings and signs. Do i have a case ?

Wow your question took some finding, hidden in the middle of a quote from a thread that's over a year old!

You need to start your own thread like everyone does, with your own PCN pics. Forget old cases, start a thread about your case.
