Hi all,

is there a place where one can examine the current laws and regs on what a clamper can and can not do with regards to clamping a vehicle.

what must they abide by and to what standards etc.

for example, heres a few FAQs

maximum fines, time limits to pay the clamp removal fee before he can take the vehicle away.

can a clamper take your vehicle with you inside it?

can a clamper physically remove you from your vehicle if you refuse to exit?

what is the law on removing a clamp yourself?

Must be 'reasonable'. See Vine vs Waltham Forest.

No. Check out the Health and Safety at Work acts.

No, see above.

You can remove it if you don't damage it. If you damaged it, you could be arrested for criminal damage. The chances of this are extremely remote though, especially if you removed it when the clamper wasn't about.

Quite, though I think that particular point (which I thought was from Arthur v Anker) was obiter.
