There is a single yellow line but the sign for it is located next to double yellow lines.

Should the sign be next to the single yellow line or does it not matter?

No, it's not within a CPZ and yes it's the only sign along the single yellow line.

The single yellow line leads onto more double yellow lines, just like at the top (which is visible in the pic).
