Gaz.
Been driving since the 29th September 2006

What'll I get?

I was overtaking in an overtaking lane at the time, If that means anything

Clean driving licence, never stopped, never warned, no records or anything?

Caught on the 18th, letter arrived this morning.

Edit: I Live in Northern Ireland, I'm unsure if there is a difference in the law

Worst case is a ban and £1000 fine under English/Welsh/Scottish law, NI laws are often different although I think sentences for motoring are the same.

English/Welsh magistrates guidelines suggest 4-6 points and a fine of 125-175% of your weekly take home pay (less tax and NI only) with a 1/3rd discount for an early guilty plea. and I suspect that will be what is applied (4pts, 125% - 1/3 plus costs). A lack of aggravating factors will help and the overtaking lane will help remove some of them.
