Hi, my friends at at Barnet council issued me a ticket for parking at a residents only time. Catch is they put the wrong rego number on the printed ticket.

Am i right to assume the ticket is therefore void? I intend to appeal on the grounds the contravention did not occur.

Can the council re issue the ticket with the correct rego number they get off the photos they take?

Thanks

Don't write or call Barnet unless they send you a NTO.

Thanks teufel and glacier. That makes my day!

Are you sure i should ignore? I feel i should appeal on the grounds the contravention did not occur. Is there a specific reason i should not contact them?

Thanks

You save that for the NTO if it ever arrives.

It alerts them to your case and they may try it on by issuing a Reg 10 PCN i.e. basically attempting to correct the mistake.
It would not matter as it is all fatally flawed.

As a matter of interest is the reg number on the printed PCN belong to another vehicle? PM me the reg and I can check.
