Full Version: 98 in a 70 court summons received

My wife has received a court summons for speeding on a dual carridgeway (98mph) clocked using one of the rear facing camera's sat in a van.

She doesn't dispute the offense but there are 2 options:

1) Plead guilty by post
2) Attend court and plead guilty

Is it worth turning up at court or is she better off pleading guilty by post? If post is the way forward, then should she put something in the mitigating circumstances or leave it blank??

Finally, any idea what she should expect? from what I've been able to find out it looks borderline on a ban up to 28 days or 4-6 points and a fine, the fine is the bit that bothers me as we're trying to move house and need every penny we can find now sad.gif
