I was caught doing 89 in a 60 , by a sneaky White Camera Van :s
I replied to the initial letter hopping to get a fixed fine, but today i recieved my reply saying
" we cannot offer you a fixed penalty, and we will contact you soon with a magistrates court date "
I am 19, and I have 1 month left of the New Drivers Act.
What are my chances / choices ? As far as i can tell i'm looking at a 6month ban and a re-test and a hefty fine.
Also in court, what can I argue ? As I can't claim i need the car all the time, as its not registered in my name :S
Cheers...

I assume that you have completed and returned a NIP?
You will next receive a summons accompanied by a number of witness ststements. When they arrive, post them in detail. DO NOT make any contact for any reason with court CPS or police, until you are certain of your plan of action, and legal obligations.

I wish alot more people would follow your advice Chris, it is bad enough trying to work out the puzzle as it is.

What part of the nip did you fill in? ie; did you name yourself as the driver?

I am sure that there are other places on this site which will point out, that you do not admit to anything. What you think, and what is proved, can be oh! so different.
