Full Version: NIP received - does not tell me my speed!

I have received a NIP from Nottinghamshire police, however, it does not tell me my speed I was driving at! It does however say "for the alleged offence of excess speed in a 50mph limit ACD."

Does it make a difference that they have not mentioned my speed? Does it in any way 'invalidate' the NIP?

Thanks.

Dan.

There is a technical legal argument that is, in my opinion, a good basis for not filling in a s.172 form which asks for the driver's details when he is alleged to have exceeded the limit, but [the NIP] doesn't tell you what it is.

Notwithstanding that, do what the Rookie says and we can help you out!
