Traveling west yesterday along the A412 in Herts this time saw a Van parked in a farmer's field entrance set back from the main road and hidden in both direction by over grown hedges (Only sighted at about 10 metres)
There were TWO LTi 20/20 / Video Cameras set on low profile tripods (again difficult to see unless close up) set close to the road side on leads both pointing in the same direction but to cover both traffic directions.
The operative was in the van so how could he have " formed an opinion for traffice in both directions" clearly leaving the dual unit on automatc like a money totting machine.

Hi Tom,

The LTi 20-20 Lastec doesn’t have an “automatic mode”. The police officer has to form an opinion of excess speed, target the device on the ‘offending’ vehicle and then pull a trigger on the device.

My bet is that they were in fact digging a large whole in the farmer’s field in order to bury their ‘mistakes’: icon_redface.gif

“The LTi 20-20 Lastec icon_question.gif Never heard of it sir. icon_eek.gif This Constabulary has never used that particular speed-measuring device.”

Must have been two operators in the van, but for sure their only veiw of the road would have been thru the fixed postioned cameras!
