can someone please confirm that if you have appealed against a parking ticket in writing and have not had a reply after 56 days that the parking ticket fine is cancelled
the 56 days to appeal relates to council clamping/removals
(where yo have to pay before appeal)

the deadlines for a PCN are

PCN issued (if by post must be 28 days from contravention)
28 days to pay (14 days for discount)

informal appeal does not have to be considered
but usually is and usually extends discount period (council discretion)

if not paid council can issue a notice to owner (nto)

(council has up to 6 months to do this)

you have 28 days to pay or make formal appeal to nto

coucil has up to 3 months to accept or reject

following formal rejection you hae 28 days to appeal or pay
