Got flashed by a speed camer for i would say doing 30mph in a 20mph area in north london. My concentration being on the roads avoiding pot holes and all the sunkan manhole cameras, battering my car to death.
I didnt see the camera on the approach but as soon as i saw the road markings, i got flashed. I turned around and drove back past the spot and the camera is totally obstructed by trees so you cannot see it.
Was it ever and if it was, is it a requirement that the camera has to be visible hence the bright yellow colour. ? I always understood this was the case.
Whats the outcome these days for doing 30 in a 20?
thanks

No, never needed to be visible.

There was a time when they were hiding speed cameras in horse trailers in Wales to catch ‘mainly’ visiting motorcyclists.....

Ah, the Brunstrom era, as a resident, I remember it well.
