received a notice of intended prosecution through the post which says a speed camera caught me doing 40 in a 30mph zone

however it wasnt me driving, it was a friend who i just met the day before. i let him borrow my car as i was too drunk to drive.
a few days ago he left to go back to his home country as he was here on business, he lives in shanghai
luckily i have his adress from a letter he left behind

can i just pass his details on in the notification form?

im wondering whats stopping other people from just "blaming it on someone else" and using a fake name and adress

So was he insured to drive your car. On your insurance I doubt it and on his insurance abroad definitely not. The will come after you for permitting an uninsured driver to use your car. Complete the NIP WIZARD for clarification. Regards Peter
