Does anyone know the likely knock-on effects, e.g. insurance premiums of one driver (young) getting points on their licence for speeding, on being a named driver on someone else's insurance please?

Shall we guess how many points you are expecting then or what. Complete the NIP Wizard. Regards Peter

try running the potential points situation through www.confused.com AFAIK points aren't punished as much as they used to be, as more and more people have them.

I did think of doing that but didn't want to alert the insurance company to the possibility of points going on.

So effectively, one scamera attack on someone also covered by someone else's insurance, as well as their own, to all intents and purposes insurance-wise convicts a totally innocent person. icon_hang.gif

Hi

I have 9 points and Tesco wanted £2,500 pounds to insure a R Reg escort not even worth that amount I then tried "Liverpool and Victoria" £550 pounds which was even lower than Tescos last year with 3 Points.

Regards

Nigel

Ps Liverpool and Victoria say as long as you have not been Banned points dont count

Yes, that is worth knowing! However, you won't be alerting your insurance co if you do an anonymous online quote - you don't have to put your real name in, or registration no.
