NIP Details and Circumstances
What is the name of the Constabulary? -
Date of the offence: - September 2017
Date of the NIP: - 4 days after the offence
Date you received the NIP: - 5 days after the offence
Location of offence (exact location as it appears on the NIP: important): - A24, Shipley, West Grinstead UK
Was the NIP addressed to you? - Yes
Was the NIP sent by first class post, second class or recorded delivery? - First
If your are not the Registered Keeper, what is your relationship to the vehicle? - Insured driver

Provide a description of events (if you know what happened) telling us as much about the incident as possible - some things that may seem trivial to you may be important, so don't leave anything out. Please do not post personal details for obvious reasons - Dual carriageway on the A24 travelling North, speed limit reduced to 60 on this section. Speed camera up ahead but one that catches you as you go past. Slowing for that when I spotted van facing towards the traffic, presumably caught by the van as I had slowed to 60 by the time I went past the camera. In a reasonable amount of traffic so slightly surprised to get pinged by them.

As you were not responsible for the vehicle, somebody else has named you as the driver. Were you driving? - Yes

Does 70 seem likely before you slowed down?
Jlc
Ask for a photo to assist in the identification of the driver. This doesn't stop the clock but they usually supply the 'money shot' just to check...

You anticipated getting off after committing the offence, if it were that easy no-one would be convicted and the camera units would have been shut down a long time ago.

Important Notice
PePiPoo do not condone breaking the law. We simply believe that motorists have the right to be treated fairly, in accordance with normal legal principles and with respect for their rights, and that allegations of motoring offences, such as speeding, should not be treated simply as an administrative issue leading efficiently and inevitably to a conviction.

You are likely to be offered a naughty boy's course. So far it looks like you should take it.
