A summons for...?
Speeding (60 mph in a 40 area of dual carriageway) and failure to disclose driver details
Can you confirm date of offence and date on summons?
Date of offence is 25th June 2016 and date on summons is 20/12/17 - (letter from PPS was dated 23/02/17) handed to me today at correct address on 04/04/17
The Rookie
As it appears the failure to update the RK details was yours (?) then you appear to have no defence to the S172 offence of failing to furnish drivers details.

If you were at least as likely as your wife to be driving then you can attempt a plea bargain where you agree with the prosecuter to plead guilty to the speeding if the S172 is dropped, if you have a summons or postal requisition you can do that on the day mentioned, if you actually have a single justice procedure notice you would have to plead not guilty to both charges so the case is transferred to a real court where you have an actual hearing take place. You need to clarify which you actually have.
