Hi

I have received the NIP today in the post. After spending sometime finding out what NIP is etc. I found out that 'Hampshire' area doesn't offer a TAC (traffic awareness course) to re-compensate the fine and points.

I was driving at 45mph according to the letter on a 30mph road. This is my first time offence and I am driving since 2011.

It would be great if you guys can share your experiences or put me in the right direction please?

*What sort of fine can be imposed on me?
*is it true that in Hampshire they don't offer TAC?

Many Thanks

45 in a 30 is too fast for a SAC.

Expect a FPN - £100 and 3 points.

It would be a SAC (Speed Awareness Course) which Hampshire appear to offer http://www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/ad...reness-training

But you were going to fast to be offered one as they would normally only be offered for speeds up to 42mph in a 30.

Oh dear! does that mean I stand no chance whatsoever in getting SAC? or still there is some hope?

It means you were travelling 3mph too fast for a course, £100 + 3 points coming your way.
