Was driving down lakeside near the roundabouts at a car meet, drove down the road must've been around 60 in a 40, two men in the middle of the road wearing a high-vis vest holding something about 8-10" long on his chest, the other with a notepad. Drove down and they pointed towards me, they wasn't looking through anything, just holding a camera or something to their chest. It was about 1am, lots of police cars about in the area, around 20 odd at this point. I'm fairly sure they wasn't holding anything out in front of them like you do with a speed gun, and they was definitely 100% holding something to his chest while the other was writing stuff down on a notepad.

Any idea? I asked my mum as she used to work for the police but she says a gun you have to hold out in front of you and they wouldn't be out at 1am with a gun when there's police cars in the area like ANPR's etc.

Thank you, I know I'm stupid lol. I'm 18 as well, been driving 17 months now, first offence. Was showing off as I've just bought an AMG lol... don't usually speed.

You'll know within 14 days assuming you're the registered keeper.

That sort of car meet, cruise or whatever is a happy hunting ground for the boys in blue, if you have got away with this one be warned for the future. You could easily have your licence revoked and have unaffordable insurance. You don't look so clever when you modify your AMG like THIS.

why do these kids complain about police attention when there is no disiplein at these meets. i did the chelsea cruise a few times since the late 70's and guys had more respect for their cars than the tw@ts in the vids. sleep.gif

A lot of them are not kids

More money than sense

Cars cheaper than they were.

Enough on those two clips to keep the Manchester courts busy for a day.

Who were you showing off to? The police? I'm sure you've impressed them with your speed. Anyhow, you'll just have to wait and see if you receive the dreaded NIP.

As has been said, you'll need to wait your 14 days- longer if the cars new to you and the V5 hasn't yet been processed.

Your Mum saying cops won't be out with speed guns at 1am is not correct though- they can and will be found out at all hours with them.
