The RK has had previous correspondence which was ignored and things then went quiet regarding this parking incident. The RK has moved house a couple of times and recently received this letter from DCBL - at least 2 years since the last letter. The RK does not believe that the name of the driver was disclosed to either UKPC or anyone else but can't be 100% sure as this event was almost 5 years ago. It looks like UKPC are dragging up old outstanding tickets in order to raise funds as pickings have no doubt been slim recently. The RK is aware that UKPC have 6 years to bring a claim. The Driver can not remember if a windscreen ticket was issued or not. It is not possible to get pictures of any signage as that will no doubt have been changed over the last 5 years!
So, should the RK expect a claim to follow and is there any way to kill this off at this stage please? All suggestions and help welcomed. This post has been edited by New Male Driver: Fri, 30 Jul 2021 - 16:32 |

Send a subject access request to UKPC. That should yield all the paperwork.

And DCB Limited are mere debt collectors who can be ignored.
While you are sending the SAR tell them your current address for service is xxxxxx, give them your full address in case they sneak in a claim with the old address. Send by first class mail with free certificate of posting from a post office so that you can show that you sent the notification. |

What is the correct address to send the SAR to please? A web search for CPUK lists 4 different addresses!! This seems like a good place to start... -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |

Update after the response is reviewed and you have some sensible questions. It's not our legwork to do but the keepers.

So where is the original NtK/PCN you requested via the SAR?

So they're going to, with all likelihood, file a claim against the named person on the letter above
Before that, you MUST respond to th letter of claim Do this towards the end of the 30 day period In the meantime, send a SAR (google it) to the ppc to get all the docs they hold in YOU Response to the lbc is of the for,: - debt is denied because ,,.. (you already know this) - however I am seeking debt advice so you are required to pause for a minimum of 30 days, and in order to narrow the topics of disagreement I REQUIRE the following documents... (then list docs such as their clients contract with the landowner ). Please note that as this is part of legal proceedings you are contemplating, no excuses such as "commercial confidentiality" or "data protection " can be used to deny documents required as this would breach both the PAP for debt claims AND the overriding objective of the CPRs (google it) Until they provide those docs , or explain why they |

The SAR was submitted to the address given on this thread but no response was received. Then chase it up, and complain to the ICO about their lack of response. -------------------- Useful Links (for private parking charges):

So where is the original NtK/PCN you requested via the SAR? The SAR was submitted to the address given on this thread but no response was received. When did you chase? How often? When you didn't get a response, who did you complain. To? Don't be passive. You were told to get something, so you're meant to actually get it! |

Write to DCBL requesting all the documents that they intend to use in court in order to narrow the issues between you as expected by the courts and thePAP
