Hello,

I received a PCN through the post this morning and would be grateful for any advice on challenging it. Contravention Code 48 Stopped in a restricted area outside a school. I'd like to appeal but not sure if I have a case. I don't even remember stopping there. Attaching the PCN and the 2 photos that are seen in the PCN and on the website. There are no other photos available. Can I ask for a photo of my vehicle causing the offence?

is there a video or info on how to obtain it? They'll need something to show where they picked up your car reg from.

The pics are timed at 8:44 but PCN says observation was at 8:45 and time of PCN 8:47. I suspect they've just picked up pics before the event so the video is crucial.

Also, there must be a lot of High Streets in Lancashire - it doesn't tell you where this is.

The PCN has been served by post because it was a drive-away. Doubt whether there's video.

LOcation says just High St. Must be quite a few of those in Lancashire, but which one?

Ah yes - am conditioned to CCTV...

This will then be down to testimony from the CEO.

You must be able to recall Tuesday morning? Do you have kids at the school?

They have photos timed before the contravention but no car in them, Why/ For a PCN to be served by post the reason for it being served must be shown and if a drive away the CEO must have started to prepare the PCN, what we see so far does not really show this

OP, were you the driver on the day in question?

If so, don't think that 'I don't remember..' would necessarily succeed at adjudication.

IMO, you know whether you were there or not, so examine your memory/conscience.

If you know you did not commit the contravention, then say so.

If you do not, then the adjudicator and authority would likely take the CEO's notes and photos.
