Hi,
Wife, as keeper of the vehicle, has just received a Civil Parking Charge Notice for parking ar LIDL for 1 hour 40 minutes and 57 seconds. Allowed stay is 1 hr and 30 minutes and it’s all ANPR.

It’s got the usual £90 or £45 if you pay in 2 weeks. The people in the car paid cash for their shopping which took longer than usual an they paid cash.

There is no mention of POFA on the letter and no mention of looking for a space prior to parking. I’ve had a quick look round and it seems that the first, and possibly only step, is a letter to the CEO?

Does anyone have the correct email address for him and do I need to appeal to the company?

Thank you in advance.

But, from looking at a previous thread these have been used too, so why not try all 3!

Non compliant with IPC grace period, 'time' before parking and 10 minutes after, 57 seconds "to park and read any signs so they may make an informed decision as to whether or not to remain on the site" is laughable.

15. Grace Periods
15.1 Drivers should be allowed a sufficient amount of time to park and read any signs so
they may make an informed decision as to whether or not to remain on the site.
15.2 Drivers must be allowed a minimum period of 10 minutes to leave a site after a
pre-paid or permitted period of parking has expired.
15.3 The reference to 10 minutes in 15.2 above shall not apply where the period of pre-paid
or permitted parking does not exceed 1 hour providing that the signage on the site
makes it clear to the motorist, in a prominent font, that no grace period applies on that
land.

Have you approached the store manager to have the ticket cancelled?

We haven’t. The threads I’ve so far read suggest that this is often unsuccessful with them signposting you to Athena. I’ll give the CEO a try and see what the response is.
