Cutting long story short i have been on the road for over 10 year now with no points tickets or anything in the past so im not trying to argue or be one of those for a way out everytime.
I was stopped earlier today and issued a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt i complied with the officers (who were armed) hehe. Upon my return home a breif read of the ticket the location they had me down for the offence i have not been down that road today so they have made a error with the road name. Does this mean anything ? Thanks in advance. |

Short answer - No. You were stopped at the time, so you are not disadvantaged by the mistake

It means human error, but sadly does not help you at all. You were stopped so you know where the incident happened and are not disadvantaged. If you refused the fixed penalty and went to court you would be summonsed for an offence at the wrong location, but if you insist the officer comes to court and you question him about the location and indeed get him to accept the charge was wrong, the court would simply allow the prosecution to correct the charge and you would be paying a lot of costs for no benefit.

Clunk clip every trip although i never have never will.Gun or no gun. I have no doubt you know this already, but for the benefit of others reading this, if you're ever involved in a no fault collision the third party insurer will be more than happy to make a nice deduction for that. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php

This thread seems to have attracted its fair share of morons who can't help themselves but crayon all over it. Either post relevant advice in the thread or don't post at all.
