PCN 12S Wrong location code because of Graffiti on Ringo machine!, Received in Chiswick because I mistook a 6 for a 5! Options

Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
Im afraid i am back again as i received a strange PCN, i arrived to a plumbing emergency on the morning of the 4/10/19 i got out of my vehicle and rang Ringgo to begin my parking, i got to the point when i had to enter my location number which i did.

So i entered 1546 and awaited my confirmation text, and off i went to start work. Now as i was returning to my car i noticed a purple PCN on the windscreen! I read it and did not understand as it said

"Contravention code 12S parked in a residents or shared use parking place or zone without a valid virtual permit or clearly displaying a valid physical permit or voucher......"
I began to scratch my head as i knew i had entered the 4 digit code and got my confirmation text!

I approached the ringgo machine and realised that because it was vandalized with a blue paint substance i had mistook a 6 for a 5! I was very annoyed, i asked a pedestrian what he read and he agreed also it was difficult to read. i feel very hard done by as i paid my £1.50 and it was not like i had not paid for parking!

Anyway I shall attach my evidence as usual and look forward to your great advice! I need to write my appeal by the 18th before the 2 week discount period.

I went back to the street the other day still Tagged up the machine.

So can you get an updated, in focus picture? This will be invaluable evidence if we get to the tribunal.

So I guess if I want to fight this all the way, I just wait for an NTO? I am not registered keeper of the vehicle, its the companys they wont like receiving that in the post?

Will the company give you permission to challenge the penalty on its behalf?
