A police and crime commissioner who had pledged to crack down on speeding has been given a six-month driving ban after being caught breaking the limit five times in 12 weeks

Her pledge appears to be working already, thanks to the district judge

I'm not too sure what police and crime commissioners are for but pretty sure it is not to break the law.
Still, five more solved cases for the statistics. |

It's to make our politics wvwn more American in style - as if that would be a good thing... -------------------- I reserve the right to be wrong.

PCC's have been around for a few years, but some places have since got rid. When Greater Manchester moved to an elected 'metro mayor' (Andy Burnham), they got rid of the police and crime commissioner in favour of a 'Deputy Mayor for Policing, Crime, Criminal Justice and Fire' appointed by the mayor. I think West Yorkshire did something similar. Although Merseyside kept their PCC when they got a metro mayor.
Nice to have a consistent approach... -------------------- Useful Links (for private parking charges):

Doesn’t her conviction prove that there isn’t “One rule for them”?
