Not seen this sign before - it's in the West End. I presume it's aimed at the likes of the McLaren driver also pictured, which me and another cyclist beat up to the top of Piccadilly owing to red lights. I've run the plate on the McLaren - no tax or MOT since 1 Jan.

Yes that sign is because of all the millionaires with their V12 cars over the summer revving their cars which really annoy the residents of the area. I find it very amusing, the police did one or two 'operations' when there were supercar meets on Sloane Street on a Sunday, and their rules of engagement were if you were caught revving once, you were warned and your numberplate noted, if you did it again you would get the Anti Social Behaviour fine!

There must have been 50 police officers on duty that day across the whole of Sloane Street and about 5 Police Cars / Vans, the leader of which had a marked X5 which would chase cars down the road, it was really funny to watch.

I don't understand one thing: if you're a millionaire and you want to have fun with your V12 and your millionaire friends, why don't you go play on your private racing track, where you can use those cars at the sort of speeds they're designed to handle? I can't think of anything more boring that trundling around in London traffic in a 200+ mph car.

Because you don’t have lots of plebs stating at you... obviously.

To you and me, perhaps. To the types of people who drive expensive cars on the streets of London like tw@ts? Not so much.

It's nothing to do with having fun with the performance of your car - it's all about crass willy-waving. If you want to see this raised to an extreme alongside luxury "yachts", I suggest (once coronavirus restrictions abate) a short trip down the coast from Marbella to Puerto Banus.

Fredd

I found a better one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTSOdMg4ZWA

I must say I'm really impressed to discover that for a fraction of the price, my 20 year old mark 1 laguna comes with the "anti self-combust" feature that provided with all these supercars.
