Yes, sorry.
Really just interested to find out whether this is likely to be fixed penalty or not. I know it's too high for for an awareness course but am concerned in case it falls into a court summons as I am aware it would be band B (higher points / bans). |

Sorry I thought I had....but it's in the title as well.
The NIP is for 47 in a 30, which is not in dispute. |

A Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty will be offered up to 50 in a 30 limit (some forces to 55), so a CoFP is as close to certain as it can be.
Don’t forget to send in your licence as well, far too many end up in court by forgetting (or not reading the damn instructions) to do so. If you read online about sentencing guidelines and Band B, they only apply if the matter goes to court, and if you get a CoFP and accept then that never happens. Thank you, that's what I was looking for. Appreciate it.
I will 'suck it up' as they say. I will certainly remember to send the licence off once the conditional offer arrives. Assuming the addresses aren't different, I may go 'old fashioned' and pay it by cheque and enclose the licence with that. That way I'll know that they have received the licence when the cheque clears. Depends on what the instructions say as to whether that will work, of course. At this stage you 'only' have to name the driver. Don't mess about paying etc just post 1st class and get a free proof of posting at the post office and of course look out for its return!! Cashing a cheque doesn't mean anything else in the envelope actually arrived.................... |

I promised to update this in case it benefits others.
I did indeed get a conditional offer of fixed penalty, came through dated 16th March. I have now paid that online and posted the licence and form off to the specified address, recorded delivery. This post has been edited by Nailup: Wed, 7 Apr 2021 - 21:07 |
