I received a ticket today for stopping in the Box Junction at Upper Woburn Place / Endsleigh Gardens.

Looking at the photos I think the junction is non-compliant - (curved corners and not going up to the edge) can anyone confirm this?

Also, I vaguely remember entering the junction when it was clear, but being forced to brake as another car cut in from the side.

The times on the photos are

18:18:39.2
18:18:45.2
18:19:15.8

So I was in there for a while - but I'm pretty sure I only stopped because someone cut in front.

Street View: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5268518,-...3312!8i6656

These are the pics and a snap of the actual ticket - with identifying stuff redacted of course.

Thank you :0)

You've scrubbed out almost everything of interest - car, date of notice, times ... we can't do anything without details.

There's no worry about disclosing number plates too. No one is bothered what your car plate is.

But the only way you'll be able to contest this is to see the video, which can take effort to get from TFL and we recommend appealing whether you see it in time or not on the basis that TFL often fails to honour its on hold status.

The PCN arrived within 13 days - but why will the time and date make any difference, and what about the actual compliance of the markings?

I've updated the opening post with extra images and a less redacted version of the PCN

Still not sure how it will help, but thank you.

If you're sure someone took your space as you entered the box that's a solid appeal. It's worth going down the appeal route if you don't think you either have a solid case on the contravention, or someone sees something wrong with the PCN. You will need to request the video.

The revision of traffic signs regs in 2016 means the box will be seen as compliant I reckon.

Thank you.

I never consciously enter a box junction and seem to remember someone cutting in from the left - I vaguely remember getting angry and then looking at the box and thinking "oh it's not compliant anyway".

I cannot find where to request the video - doesn't seem to be an option unless I'm missing something. :/

You have to call TFL. Get a ref no and get them to say it's on hold. Only do this if you think you have a good case as we see lots of people getting into a mess with TFL and it can be best to just pay the discount.

TfL have tidied up their PCN, i can no longer find fault with it. The car in front of the one in front of you appears to have cut in from the left or could have.

This will be down to the video evidence. If you are sure then make representations within the stated time whether you have it or not, but demand it as part of any rejection

Well I emailed TFL a couple of days ago and no response thus far - the phone number seems all about travel enquiries and Oyster payments.

Uh?

Just two options on the phone -

- Pay PCN
or
- Enquire about PCN

Maybe I called the wrong number as they weren't options - just standard stuff about public transport :/
