I have received a PCN from NSL on behalf of Lewisham Council.
The street I park on is Sunninghill Rd and I have a valid permit for it.
The road is a cul-de-sac and popular with shoppers on Sundays when parking restrictions are not in force.
As such it's pot luck where you find a spot to park.
A few days after parking I returned to my vehicle and found two PCNs on the window (one of which has subsequently been withdrawn).
For the other NSL have rejected my claim providing a photograph of a sign (which is very nearly illegible being in a low resolution format, and doesn't show my
vehicle), which is positioned outside number 10 Sunninghill Rd, a full 20 metres away from where I had parked my car.
There is clearly, visible obstruction from bushes to the front of number 10, which I had to drive passed until I reached the spot where I could park.
I reversed parked from a starting position roughly outside house numbers 20/18.
Having no reason to suspect any signage had been set up, and having a valid permit, I wasn't looking out for any notice.
I believe that it is unreasonable to consider that there was sufficient visible signage warning of a parking bay suspension.

Do I have any challenge on these grounds?
I have tried to check if the sign complies with regulations but have not had much luck finding ino.

Any help would be gratefully received

As per the advice on that thread, we need a link to the location on google street view, + all the council photos.

Please see attached the PCN I received, the two pics the council have presented (this is the quality I received them and I have no way of enhancing them).

Well if an adjudicator cannot read the terms and conditions of the suspension sign they lose.

You have two courses of action:-

1) Do nothing and hope they don't have a better photo;

2) If the sign is no longer there, get back on to them and say you believe you weren't in the area suspended and that you need a close up photo of the suspension sign to determine whether to pay or defend the PCN.

Wait for others to comment.

Or just check if the sign is still there. If it is, take a picture and post it on here.

If it's gone, I would email them and ask for a better quality picture.

They're not going to use the photo from a different PCN though.
