Almost certainly a registration number or keypad issue
In case anyone's not already aware, Creative Parking Solutions is the parent company of Civil Enforcement |

Prepared to go to prison for a private parking ticket... Hmmm. I'm hoping that the prison term he refers to would be in relation to some kind of violent act aimed at a senior member of CEL. -------------------- Sometimes I use big words I don't understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I'm sure that's also the location where the signs say one duration for a certain payment but the ticket (and CEL) apply a different scale.
Not sure why he thinks his licence would be revoked over a private parking ticket or 4..... -------------------- There is no such thing as a law abiding motorist, just those who have been scammed and those yet to be scammed!

One of those things that seems obvious to us but many people get confused between council and private tickets, and parking companies do little to disabuse them.
This chap is under the impression he can go to jail over this, and to be honest, I wouldn't be happy if that was my grandparent. It can't be a nice feeling. |

Yes
He's also from a generation that believes in paying debts without questioning if they're real |

Perhaps more of a generation where companies didn't generally dress up charges/invoices/whatever as debts with official backing.
One of my grandmothers is also sure that traffic wardens are employed by the police. I think trying to explain that this ticket is issued by a private company on behalf of a council and is official, whereas this ticket is issued by a private company on behalf of a hospital or public body and is purely speculative, isn't the clearest of distinctions. |

Erm....they are (effectively), CEO's and Private parking 'officers' aren't though. -------------------- There is no such thing as a law abiding motorist, just those who have been scammed and those yet to be scammed!
