Double page spread today but no case as outrageous as the clutch one posted in the Flame Pit (in my view).
It is the car hire firm with a trail of angry customers, furious at bills presented to them when they return a car for hundreds – even thousands – of pounds for damage they say is barely visible or that was there already. Green Motion, which has franchised branches at most major UK airports, appears to offer remarkably cheap deals – often a third of the price charged by major rivals. But now customers allege that there is a major sting in the tail. It is easily the most-complained about car hire firm in Guardian Money’s postbag, although the greatest number of angry customers appear to be at its branches near Heathrow, Gatwick and Glasgow airports. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/jun/...-car-hire-bills This post has been edited by stamfordman: Sat, 9 Jun 2018 - 20:33 |

The trouble with the Guardian is that it is an extreme left wing newspaper, predominantly pro public sector (the majority of copies sold are actually purchesed by the BBC news dept) which is strictly against capitalism in any form and it's reporting must be regarded as such.
I am not excusing the worst cases of capitalist excess - far from it, but do take their political stance into considertain when you post any of their reporting. This post has been edited by whjohnson: Sun, 10 Jun 2018 - 00:52 |

Guardian = extreme left wing? Seriously they are not extreme at all, they are certainly determinedly left of centre but they are most certainly not to the extreme left!

the majority of copies sold are actually purchesed by the BBC news dept Where do you go for your "facts", Breitbart? You'll be pleased to know that last year The Times was the newspaper most bought by the BBC - and I hardly think about 270 copies a day constitutes the majority of the Guardian's circulation! -------------------- Regards,

I'm interested in your classifications of the other British newspapers--should be equally amusing! --Churchmouse |

--Churchmouse- "Don't tell me about the press. I know exactly who reads the papers. The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country; The Guardian is read by people who think they ought to run the country; The Times is read by the people who actually do run the country; the Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country; the Financial Times is read by people who own the country; the Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by another country, and the Daily Telegraph is read by people who think it is. Sir Humphrey: Prime Minister, what about the people who read The Sun? Bernard: Sun readers don't care who runs the country, as long as she's got big ****." |

I'm currently helping my sister in a battle with them as they supplied a car with a faulty tyre then charged my sister a staggering £800 for the damage, £400 for a new tyre and £400 for a can of sealant. She eventually raised a dispute with her credit card company who sided with Green Motion after they supplied a document signed by my sister agreeing to the damages which she'd never done, instead they'd copied the signature from one of the initial signature forms.
On top of all that my sister was not able to actually use the car for her trip and lost out on accommodation as well. I do realise with online reviews they will be more biased towards being negative as people are more likely to write negative reviews than positive ones but what I've seen of Green Motion is very much in line with their negative reviews, I'm appalled at the way they've treated my sister. |
