Hello

The driver got a PPC notice on my windscreen supposedly for parking outside their white lines. It was on a retail park which is free to use. Car wasn't parked on any lines or badly in any way otherwise. Small child was a passenger in the car. I'm not going to pay.
Driver might have parked differently if the car park hadn't been full. No signage seen, but there prob is some.

Does it actually matter what I write to the PPC in my 'appeal'? I'm expecting to use the POPLA process anyway? I just need a POPLA code, but I don't want to write the wrong things to the PPC first. Can I just disagree with their charge on almost any grounds or will this be important later on?
Thanks

"The driver got a PCN on the windscreen of my car"

Within the last week I've seen a letter from a PPC stating that they had seen the keepers post on Pepipoo so please do it.

Reply to the PCN AS THE KEEPER so that it arrives 2 days before the end of the appeal period, as instructed in post #4.

So you write an appeal as the keeper so that it arrives with UKPC on day 26. Go to this thread on MSE and and heed what it says about windscreen tickets and BPA members. There's a template appeal there. Don't send it too early, read the reasons for this. And never identify who was driving

Has the driver complained to the management of the shop they were using? Management, not customer disservice desk.
