Hi All, What a wonderful day!

Long story short.

I popped over to my mums to pick up daughter who was staying with her last night. There is residents parking in place in the area as she lives near Brentford FC. Parked in bay very carefully to make sure all wheel were inside etc.

No sign on 'my' bay apart from disabled parking one next to it (made sure I wasn't over hanging this). Have parked there before with no issues.

Daughter wasn't ready so waited and had a cuppa, came out. Ticket. Whaaaaat!

I was inside 45mins. Joke.

Any advice, livid obviously. Can't even visit the house I grew up in now.

I've attached the PCN but no photos on the council website site under my notice number, tries to send me directly to payment!
I should have taken photos straight away but was so furious I threw the ticket in the vehicle and drove off.

The only thing I can think is that the PCN states the officer 'viewed' the vehicle for 5 mins, did they actually because the council has CCTV watching that area to catch people parking in the disabled bay!

You've blanked all the details on the PCN - reinstate them bar VRM and PCN number (if you want).

Show us where you were on Google Street View.

So seems you parked in a resident permit bay - did you have a permit?

Apologies... thought I was being careful!

Yes looks like I've fallen foul of the rules. As far as i know the resident restrictions are in place for football matches Tues and Sat to stop fans clogging up the estate. Mum has the visitor tickets just didn't think to put one on for a quick pick up. Really annoyed with myself now!

This street view is old but will give you an idea of the layout. Since then bays have been put in, I parked on the one with the drain on the corner and the bay with the renault in it in street view is now disabled bay.

It's a controlled zone - I can't read it too well but looks like a restricted time is 10-11am Mon-Fri so you were in that.

Is the bay signed or is it just controlled from the sign I've linked to below.

A quick pick up of 45 mins looks like your undoing.

PS - you can ask for discretion as you are not the intended target - these 1 hour slots are designed to deter nuisance/commuter parking etc and you were visiting a resident and indeed to pick up daughter.

No, no signs next to the bay!

Blimey I didn't even know it was those times. Sneaky wotsits putting it at the bottom of the road like that.

I might have to just throw myself on their discretion then and see what happens, as you say I'm not the intended target so who knows!

Thanks @stamfordman.
