Hi i'm looking for any advise. My van was clamped at the end of the cul de sac a few yards from my house. I'd sorn the van and had it parked on private land at the back of my garage - my neighbor brought an new smaller car and started using his garage so i moved the van to the road. Not long after i got a clamp - which i paid to remove then this morning received a penalty for out of court settlement £519. I can see where i've gone wrong but I wasn't expecting it. Do i have any other options than pay or court?

Thanks in advance
DJ

As above no.

If you pay the penalty offered that is the end of the matter, if you don’t then the DVLA will take the matter to court who will then fine you and likely for a much larger amount than the out of court settlement offered.
