Has anyone on here got any exprience of the Volvo S80 - T6 (272bhp) model?

If so, any problems? any quirks, would you recommend?

Some reviews (US) here and a UK road test at this page

General thoughts seem to be that it is thirsty, may eat front tyres (280+ bhp and front wheel drive), doesn't handle as well as a Jag or Beemer and is very expensive as a company car due to its horrendous emmissions figures.

It seems that opinions on both sides of the pond try to steer one away from this and towards a 5 series or an A6 Quattro both of which can be had for the same money.

No personal experience but I do know that the Swedes are very good at getting a lot of power down to the road with front wheel drive cars where most others have failed.

Don't know if this is of any help.....

The accident was caused by cockpit thrombosis - a dangerous clot between seatback and steering wheel ...

Thirsty - Don't care wink.gif

Tyres - lol if anything like their cousins, very possibly

emissions - Good, it's about time the country warmed up! wink.gif

I'd seen the reviews, just wondered if anyone else had any personal experience. I've tried the 5 series... and seriously considering the quattro
