When creating a new thread please try and answer these questions:

The vehicle was parked:
  • On-road.
  • Entirely on a footpath.
  • Partially on a footpath.
  • In a council owned off-road car park.
  • In a railway station car park.
  • In a privately owned off-road car park.
  • On private property.
  • Somewhere else (please specify).
The first thing I received was:
  • A Fixed Penalty Notice
  • A Penalty Charge Notice attached to the vehicle
  • A Penalty Charge Notice handed to the driver of the vehicle
  • A Penalty Charge Notice through the post
  • An Excess Charge Notice
  • A Penalty Parking Notice
  • Some kind of civil 'parking charge notice'
  • Something else (please specify).
Which county/council/borough was the vehicle in? (Not relevant if on private property.)
What was the alleged offence? (eg. parking where restricted, overstay, footpath parking, etc.)
If parked on-road, was the vehicle parked in a Controlled Parking Zone?
If you got a civil 'parking charge notice' or similar, have you told the company who issued it who was driving the vehicle?

If possible, please scan anything you have received and attach it to your thread as this can be very helpful. It's been said on this thread before, but I'll say it again, photographs of the lines and signs are very useful.
