Hi everyone, second time I'm making a thread. First time I made one (on an unrelated situation) everyone was extremely helpful so here I am again looking for help.

The driver Parked at the "Visitors Car Park" of this commercial estate in London. They went there to see a family member who has a business in the location. As they go there with a certain frequency they're familiar with their rules. They park, walk up to the concierge and get a 2-hour visitors permit which is then display on the car.

I received the letter below at home (apparently there were no wind shield yellow envelope prior to this), and now I feel like I cannot prove the driver had a permit on that particular day because they usually throw them away. The letter says the car was "recorded on camera" in the premises. Would it be wise to appeal by demanding them to show that evidence? I wouldn't want to pay £60 unless they have proof that the driver didn't have a permit on that date/time.

The location does have parking signage but I don't have a picture of it at the moment, would have to upload on Tuesday.

The letter Front:

Thank you in advance! smile.gif

Review sentence 2, do not use I, use 'the driver'.

And don't quote my post as I normally come back and delete them once the editing it complete.

¿Qué?

NO-ONE in their right mind here would pay a penny to a PPC, even if they proved some old drivel about a permit!

It's a small IPC firm; either ignore them or send the usual template from MSE and then ignore them:

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showth...d.php?t=4816822

Also send them a SAR for all photos and data held about your car. DO NOT imply who parked - do not add random sentences!

Thanks everyone for the help so far.

Quick update, the keeper of the vehicle sent an appeal via email using the template on https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showth...d.php?t=4816822
This was followed by an automated response containing the following:

It says the appeal should contain the keeper's contact telephone number. Do they have a right to request that? What if the keeper doesn't have a phone number? Should this be ignored?

Another update on this case.

First the keeper received the following email which they did not reply to:

Then a subsequent letter arrived at the keeper's home with the following:

Should the keeper ignore these? There have been no show of any evidence so far, certainly none sent by post as requested.

What if the debt collectors/solicitors eventually take it to court? That would be an easy win for them wouldn't it?

Well debt collectors cannot take it to court. They lack standing.

Obviously you dont ignore real court papers. That would be a really, really stupid thing to do.

Come back here if you get:

1. A Letter Before Claim from either the parking company or a firm of solicitors
2. An actual claim form (it wouldn't be from a firm of Debt Collectors though!)

DO NOT APPEAL TO THE IAS.

The keeper received the following by post. Would this be a letter before claim?

Really sorry for bumping this thread once again.

When a solicitors letter asks you to pay the debt collector guess who really wrote and sent the letter.

Answer: the debt collector.

So ignore.

Yet another letter. This time its "pending legal action". Starting to realize they're all over the place. First it was the debt collectors, then the solicitors, now back to the debt collectors and they are also offering a 25% discount before going to court apparently.
