Hi
I have just received a demand for payment £145. First I have heard of this. It states that details were originally sent to the address provided by DVLA for the keeper which is me. Have got my new address through a tracing service. I recently moved (2 months) and haven’t updated my address yet. The charge date is from before I moved. It’s a pub car park about 9 miles away. Pretty sure it’s ANPR with a time limit which I probably overstayed. What’s the best course of action? I have 14 days to pay apparently! Thank you Ben. |

Which parking company originally issued the ticket?
P.s. you are potentially committing a criminal offence in not updating your v5. (Not that it's commonly pursued) Update it asap as it can get you into real grief. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |

Everyone ignores them of they lose at POPLA or miss appealing. I've ignored them myself. ECP are not litigious.
Get them busy by sending ECP a Subject Access Request for all photos, all letters sent, and confirming what your real address is, and ask for a POPLA code (you won;t get one but ask anyway). No saying or implying who the driver was in your contact. Search their website for their PRIVACY page and send the SAR there. |
