Got this through the post about a yellow box infraction. It's my car, and my mistake, so if it has to be paid that's what I'll do. However, I'd be very grateful if someone could take a look through the ticket to check it's all in order - they're quite happy to send out tickets on technicalities, so if there's any chance of me getting away with it on a technicality I'd be rather happy. £195 with a reduction to £130 seems rather a lot to me considering it's my first offence and I wasn't actually impeding anyone's progress.
Many thanks |

OP---take your name and address off the document. Do I read that the penalty charge is £65 and may be reduced by 50%? Hellava deal! Mick Yep. What a gem. the NoR is so bad I want to see exactly what you sent by way of these representations +1 The first para is just plain peculiar. Worth maybe trying to pay £32.50, taking screenshots along the way, cos I doubt the system will accept it. ? This post has been edited by Neil B: Wed, 12 Jul 2017 - 18:55 -------------------- |

OK, and then do the PATAS appeal citing my original appeal plus the screenshots showing I can't pay £32.50? If so, what box should I tick on section 5 of the form? None of them seem to apply to my situation.

Slow down, this is the last shot, lets get it right. there are more errors on the NoR, that one is not particularly strong, but is indicative of the poor consideration given -------------------- All advice is given freely. OK, I just don't want to run out of time to pay the "reduced" penalty and as I'm going away soon I need to send it pretty quick. I personally can't see any other glaring errors other than the fact it's confusing but then I'm no expert!

You think, but don't want to risk adjudication. No your options pay £65 in the 14 day period or appeal. If it's appeal we can help. Can you clarify how when they've offered me £32.50 in writing they're not obliged to accept that payment? I'm happy to go to adjudication but obviously I'd want to be sure I had a very good chance of winning.

That they made that error is one of many that gives you a better than evens chance. The won't, No they cannot take the 32.50. there is no legal basis for them to do so This post has been edited by PASTMYBEST: Sat, 15 Jul 2017 - 18:16 -------------------- All advice is given freely.
