Getting the wife a new Audi A1 to replace her 8 year old Corsa.
My 22 year old son has been a named driver on the Corsa and hasn't had any incidents in that car. He isn't that interested in driving but perhaps that is due to living in London. He is very interested in the new car though and will be out to impress his mates. The A1 is not super fast but considerably more so than the Corsa. I am the policyholder, wife is the main driver, myself and son are occasional drivers. Wife uses car for her job Mon-Fri. Should I just relax and trust the boy to look after the car and drive safely? Was thinking of getting him a couple of refresher lessons to iron out any bad habits and have his driving assessed. |

A new Audi will be safer for him to drive than an old Corsa. Better brakes, more air bags etc

The brakes on the Corsa are actually very impressive. Firm pedal and really excellent stopping power. In fact the best thing about the whole car. |
