Do they need to have an MOT?

This is one, it doesn't appear to have one.

Presumably it's a vehicle that is used for police purposes (not necessarily by police officers) and is maintained in a police workshop, therefore does not need an MOT.

Is the followup question whether they can catch speeding motorists?

No,

I'm not that stupid. I just wondered if it was possible to drop the company in the do do for a van without an MOT, it is taxed BTW.

No MoT needed but if they maintain them like they do at our ambulance station it could probably do with one after 10 years.

They don't need tax either but back in the days of paper disks they often displayed one (not always up to date mind) to stop challenges on that basis.

The website states "no results returned" but the information's shown in a green not red box which suggest to me it may have an MOT but one where the details aren't accessible.

Even if you'd been right, it's an offence normally carrying a £100 fine. Trivial in a corporate context, and hardly "dropping them in the do do" or leading to the CEO's resignation.

What company? Unless you believe the FMOTL fabrication that the Police force is a corporation?
