A colleague of mine (who is not very good on matters like this) received a ticket and knew I had got out of tickets before so asked me to look at it.

The ticket she got was odd, as the amount to be paid is zero according to the ticket, if this an error? Also, some of the text is missing from the printout /heshe received on there. Do they have to pay this or can they get out of it? We have not logged onto the website yet to check the pictures taken or that there is any amount to pay.

I have the full scan of the ticket if needed.

and

Tony

Others will comment, but based on the W62 code this is just a warning, and does not incur a penalty, hence the due amount of £0.00

Councils sometimes issue these for a period of time when they start to enforce a new restriction, or start to enforce a restriction that they have not enforced in the past.

I'd recommend that your friend doen't park like this in this location again.

That will prevent a future defence of "expectation".

If she doesn't pay then she'll get a charge certificate and the 0.00 will increase by 50% to 0.00 again, but the order of recovery is a worry as that's a fixed amount...

If there is a link perhaps they should go on to "pay" their nothing and that's a way of "acknowledging".

It's just a warning, tell her not to park there again.

Tell her to post in the Speeding and other Criminal Offences part of the forum for that one.
